Christmas was over and it was back to school we went. What a busy month January has been. In numeracy we have been working on numbers up to 7, learning how to use a tree and Venn diagram and going on a rectangle hunt. For literacy we have continued our work on our sounds. We are now looking at the tricky digraph sounds. We have also begun to use our sounds and tricky words to write independent sentences. Our teacher is very proud. Our World Around Us topic is fairytales and through this we have looked at different Bears, bridges and houses so far. For our role play we have had the Three Bears cottage and the Three little pigs construction yard. We also got to taste the Bears porridge some of us liked it some of us didn't. In p.e. We have been working on our balancing skills and making bridges, we have to remember straight backs, looking eyes and arms out to help us. In January we even had a health and fitness day where wild cats came into school and we had a healthy snack. January brought some snow, so we put on our wellies and went out to play.
