We were very busy when we returned to school after Christmas. We continued with our numbers, took part in outside numeracy, looked at how different numbers are made up, started adding and investigated long and short. In literacy we continued with our sounds and started reading and writing words independently. We looked at persuasive writing and gave our opinion in our favourite fairytale characters. We looked at bears, bridges, different types of houses and castles through our fairytale topic. In our night topic we looked at different night animals, electricity and how to stay safe in the dark. P1 also managed to squeeze in two shared Ed trips, making pancakes, dressing up for world book day and a visit to the library. We were very busy bees and very sad that our school year got cut short. However we are all safe and home and continuing with our learning via seesaw. P1 are still producing super writing, numeracy and artwork. Keep working hard P1
