We had a fantastic trip to the zoo today. The weather was perfect, and we saw many of the animals we are learning about in our topic work. It is an invaluable learning experience to be able to see animals like these "up close and personal". One of the highlights of the day was seeing the newborn baby giraffe who had only been born 15 hours earlier! We loved the zoo. As one child asked at the end of the day, "Can we come back here tomorrow?"
