P7 Volcanoes

9th May 2024
In P7, we studied volcanoes as our WAU topic. We learned about how volcanoes are formed, where they are most likely to be active, the component parts of volcanoes and their causes and effects.

As part of our learning, our pupils created these magnificent model volcanoes, which were designed to actually erupt! They did a fantastic job, and we think they look fab.

Did you know..... Carnmoney Hill was formed by an ancient volcanic eruption, and is made of molten rock (magma) which has solidified!
