P1 got to visit the Recycle Bus on Monday. Noel told us about the different coloured bins and how to recycle and re-use rubbish. We thought about what goes in each bin. Jacob said the Brown Bin is the smelliest! Noel said he was right. We used strips of newspaper to make a biodegradable plant pot. Then used Noels recycled contents of his brown bin which made compost and some seeds to plant cress. We watered our seeds and are waiting for them to grow. Noel said to keep them beside the window and water them once more. We can eat our cress when it grows!
