UNICEF- Safer Internet Talk
Mrs Carberry (Pastoral Care Leader in School) has worked in conjunction with UNICEF Rights Respecting Schools and BT Volunteers to deliver ‘The Right Click: Internet Safety Matters’ workshop on:
WEDNESDAY 25TH MAY 2016 AT 4.00PM
The workshop will last around one hour and is for both parents and pupils- please take note that pupils must attend with their parents.
All parents and their children are welcome to attend, but the workshops are particularly aimed at parents with children in P5-7. Part of the workshop includes a CEOP video aimed at children aged 8 years and above. This is a useful video to see but is quite hard hitting.
Children and young people have the right to access information and they are increasingly using the internet to learn, play and socialise. It is essential that children are empowered to take advantage of the internet’s many benefits in a safe and informed way. The Right Click: Internet Safety Matters Workshop is a great opportunity for parents/guardians and children to learn and talk about internet safety together.
If you would like to attend please return the permission slip which has already been sent home.
